The German dancehall/soca - portal dancehallmusic.de has an interview with Maximus Dan the Gladiator online.

But artists also need to know that they have to make the contribution.I'm not saying to ignore carnival, but when you're writing the music, try to make something that stretch further than carnival monday or tuesday. Make the music timeless.
